1500 Mesh Grinding Mill: HCH Models and Production Capacity

Release date: 2026-11-06 10:41:52

1500 mesh grinding mill must do more than produce fine powder. For industrial buyers, the important questions are whether the equipment can reach the required fineness, how much material it can process, and which model matches the production target. At Guilin Hongcheng (HCM), our HCH ultrafine ring roller mill are designed for fine and ultrafine mineral powder processing, with a product fineness range of 400–2500 mesh (5–38 μm).

For customers planning to produce 1500 mesh calcite powder, we provide several HCH model options. Their reference capacities at this fineness offer a practical starting point for equipment evaluation.

How Much Can an HCH Mill Produce at 1500 Mesh?

Production capacity is one of the first specifications buyers compare when selecting a 1500 mesh grinding mill. According to the capacity table published on our HCH product page, the reference output for calcite powder at 1500 mesh is as follows:

HCH Model Reference Capacity at 1500 Mesh
HCH780 1,000–1,200 kg/h
HCH980 2,500–3,000 kg/h
HCH1395 2,500–3,500 kg/h

Important: These figures are reference capacities for calcite powder with a feeding size of ≤10 mm. They are not guaranteed production rates for every material or operating condition. Actual output depends on the material being processed and its characteristics.

The general equipment capacity ranges listed for the HCH models are:

  • HCH780: 1–4 t/h

  • HCH980: 1–7 t/h

  • HCH1395: 2–11 t/h

These are general model specifications, not the specific output figures for 1500 mesh production. When evaluating a project, buyers should use the fineness-specific reference data alongside the actual material and production requirements.

Which HCH Model Should You Consider?

The HCH series offers different configurations for different production requirements.

HCH780 is the smaller model in this range. It has 5 large rollers and 12 small rollers, with a grinding ring diameter of 780 mm. Its reference capacity at 1500 mesh is 1,000–1,200 kg/h for calcite powder.

HCH980 features 12 large rollers and 16 small rollers, with a grinding ring diameter of 930 mm. Its published reference capacity at 1500 mesh is 2,500–3,000 kg/h.

HCH1395 is equipped with 16 large rollers and 20 small rollers, with a grinding ring diameter of 1,150 mm. Its reference capacity at 1500 mesh is 2,500–3,500 kg/h.

All three models have a maximum feeding size of ≤10 mm. Their finished product fineness is specified within the 5–38 μm range, corresponding to 400–2500 mesh.

The appropriate model should be determined by the required output, material properties, feed conditions and final powder specifications—not by the model number alone.

Why Does the HCH Mill Suit Ultrafine Powder Production?

Producing fine mineral powder requires a grinding system that can process the material and separate particles according to the required fineness. Our HCH mill combines roller grinding with a forced turbine classification system.

Inside the main mill, the grinding rollers move outward under centrifugal force and press against the grinding ring. Material passes through the grinding area and is crushed through the combined action of rolling, grinding and impact.

The HCH grinding rollers are arranged in multiple layers. HCH780 uses a three-layer arrangement, while the other models use four layers. This structure allows the material to pass through successive grinding zones.

After grinding, airflow carries the powder to the classifier. Particles that meet the required fineness pass through to the pulse dust collection system. Coarser particles return to the main mill for further grinding.

This circulation process is important because the final product depends not only on the grinding action but also on the classification of the powder.

What Materials Can the HCH 1500 Mesh Grinding Mill Process?

The HCH series is designed for ultrafine grinding of non-metallic minerals with Mohs hardness below 7 and moisture content within 6%.

Materials listed for this equipment include:

  • Calcite and calcium carbonate

  • Limestone and dolomite

  • Talc

  • Bentonite

  • Kaolin

  • Fluorite

For customers involved in calcium carbonate grinding and processing, the HCH series provides an equipment option for producing fine and ultrafine powder from suitable raw materials.

The raw material should be crushed to a feeding size of ≤10 mm before entering the grinding mill. Material properties and feed conditions should also be considered when estimating production capacity.

HCM HCH Ultrafine Ring Roller Grinding Mill

Selecting a 1500 mesh grinding mill requires more than checking whether a machine can reach the target fineness. The production requirement, raw material characteristics and model-specific capacity must all be considered together.

At HCM, our HCH780, HCH980 and HCH1395 ultrafine ring roller mills provide different equipment configurations for non-metallic mineral powder processing. Their forced turbine classification system, multilayer roller structure and pulse dust collection system form an integrated grinding solution.

If you are planning a 1500 mesh powder production project, HCM can evaluate your material, target fineness and required output to help identify a suitable HCH model.
